The Professional Standards Department has provided the following information:
1. How many police officers or police staff have had disciplinary proceedings taken against them by your Professional Standards Department (PSD) for misusing AI / Artificial Intelligence for their work between January 2023 and 31st May 2026? Please break it down by year.
We have searched for any case which relates to an officer/staff member misusing Artificial Intelligence for their work between 01/01/2023 and 31/05/2026.
This was a nil return – no one has had disciplinary proceedings taken against them for misusing Artificial Intelligence within the period
2. How many of these cases were upheld?
3. Of those officers and staff who had disciplinary proceedings against them upheld, what was the nature of the allegations?
4. Of those officers and staff who had disciplinary proceedings against them upheld, what platform did they use e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft CoPilot, Claude, Google Gemini, Google Pinpoint, Perplexity AI, Grok or any others?
5. Of those officers and staff who had disciplinary proceedings against them upheld, what was the sanction?
