The Performance Analysis Department has provided the following information.
Searches were carried out using the keywords "dog" and "puppy" therefore any incidents which do not include these phrases would not be included.
- How many dogs were reported to you as stolen in 2024?

- Of those dogs stolen, how many dogs were then returned to their owners in 2024?
Please note that this data was manually reviewed to see if there was mention in the occurrence entry log of the dog being returned. The dog and owner may have since been reunited but it might just not have been recorded. Additionally, some of these are civil disputes over the ownership of the dog but where they were reported to the police as stolen, so the whereabouts of the dog is known but it just might not have been given back to the person reporting it as stolen.
