Speed Camera Details

The Road Safety Team has provided the following information:

I am requesting details of all speed-enforcement cameras currently operated or maintained within the Dorset Police area.

Please provide, for each active or recently active site (fixed, average, or mobile):

1.The make and model of the speed-enforcement device installed.

• For fixed speed and red light cameras - Verra mobility, previously Redflex – NK7 devices
• For the A338 average speed camera - Yunex Traffic system
• For mobile enforcement equipment - Concept and TruCam 2 supplied by LaserTech UK Ltd. Laser Witness and Laser Cam 4 supplied by Truvelo

2.The type of enforcement (fixed point, average speed, red-light/speed combination, or mobile van).

3.Whether each camera is digital or legacy film-based.

All enforcement equipment is digital.

4.The manufacturer or system supplier currently under contract for those cameras.
