Seized dogs

The Dog Legislation Officer has provided the following information.

Please Note:

The first two answers relate to dogs seized in 2024 and the last two answers relate to dogs destroyed in 2024.

A dog may have been seized in 2023 but was put down in 2024.

Additionally, a dog seized in 2024 may have been put down but not until 2025.

Please can you provide the following information for the 2024 calendar year:

How many suspected banned or dangerous dogs were seized by police
