I am seeking information relating to confiscation orders under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

For each year between 2022-2024 (2022, 2023 and 2024) please provide the 10 cases with the largest “criminal benefit”. Please detail for these ten cases the value of the criminal benefit, the value of the confiscation order obtained, and the total value that has been recovered to date.

The Economic Crime Unit have provided the following information.

For completeness below are some explanations.

‘Benefit amount’ is defined under Section 8 POCA 2002

Current Order amount is defined under Section 6 POCA 2002.

The phrase ‘current’ is used as order may be varied in the future, for example under Section 22 POCA 2002.

The ‘disparity’ is purely the difference between the benefit and order and should not be confused with how much of a current order amount a defendant has paid at this time.
