The Resourcing & Workforce Planning and Professional Standards Department have provided the following information.
1. How many Dorset officers were the subject of complaints in the calendar year 2024?
542 officers were linked as subject of at least one complaint recorded in the calendar year 2024 (search run for period 01/01/2024 to 31/12/2024 for all ranks).
2. How many complaints were dismissed by the investigating officer but appealed and considered by your Professional Standards Department (PSD)?
No complaints were appealed to our PSD department in that period, all appeals went to the Local Policing Body (LPB) or Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) so a nil return.
3. How many of these complaints did the PSD uphold?
