The Dorset Road Safe and Operations Departments have provided the following information.
1) For the years 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24: the number of uninsured drivers that have been caught driving without insurance in your force area.

Traffic Offence Reports - No Insurance |

Dorset Police issue paper Traffic Offence Reports (TOR’s) or submit Digital Traffic Offence Reports (PRONTO) which result in HORT1, VDRS, EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.
The data therefore identifies the number of TORs / PRONTO TOR’s processed at the Central Ticket Office where the outcome is one of EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.
The data does not include TORs or PRONTO submissions which have been issued/submitted by officers, but to date have not been processed within the CTO. It does not include No Insurance offences detected outside of those processed at CTO e.g. No Insurance detected following a collision or following an arrest for associated Road Traffic offences.
Data does not include cancelled offences.
2) For the years 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24: the number of accidents that have involved uninsured drivers.
Insurance status is not recorded in our accident stats
3) For the years 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24: the number of vehicles seized because they were uninsured.
