Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request ref: 01/FIN/24/1575
Version Date: 23/02/2024
The Central Ticket Office have provided the following information.
For Camera offences
We issue Notices of Intended Prosecution (NIP’s) which result in, EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.
For Non Camera offences
We issue Traffic Offence Reports (TOR’s) which result in HORT1, VDRS, EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.
The data therefore identifies the number of NIPs / TORs processed at the Central Ticket Office where the outcome is one of EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.
NB
These figures do not include cancelled offences or vehicles categorised as ‘emergency’ or ‘police’ vehicles.
Where the data returns a 0 in the TOR Reply spreadsheet no data has either been input or recorded. It is not possible to review 3007 Paper TORs as this would far exceed the time limits allowed.
TOR and NIP speed limit data are recorded in different systems therefore the TOR data shows the speed limit as the offence details and the NIP data a speed limit value.
