The Dorset Road Safe Department have provided the following information.
Offences detected by Automatic Speed Detection Cameras both Static and Mobile
Dorset Police issue Notices of Intended Prosecution (NIP’s) which result in, EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.
The data therefore identifies the number of NIPs processed at the Central Ticket Office where the outcome is one of EDUCATION, CONDITIONAL OFFER OF FIXED PENALTY or COURT.
These figures do not include cancelled offences.
Q2 and Q4 appear to be the same but we have broken the figures down into those caught by Mobile Camera and those by Fixed Camera.

Mobile Speed Detection Camera deployed on 29 occasions during period 01/11/23 – 14/11/24.
4. How many vehicles have been caught exceeding the speed limit in the last 12 months
Mobile Speed Detection Camera detected 580 offences in period 01/11/23 – 14/11/24.
