Could you please share information on the number of 'piggybacking' (establishing a wireless Internet connection by using another subscriber's wireless Internet access) offences recorded in the last five years (2018-23), broken down by the number of convictions each year?

The Performance Analysis Department have provided the following information.

Searches were completed on Niche for all occurrences in the requested timeframe that had the following Home Office code: 099/90 – Obtain electronic communications service with intent to avoid payment.

This resulted in a nil return.
