please could you provide the following information for the period 2019 to the end of 2024 (or as much of 2024 as you have data for - please specify when the 2024 data does run up to), broken down by year (I am happy to accept calendar years or financial years provided this is consistent for all data and clearly stated).
1. The number of officers suspended each year.
2. What these suspensions related to e.g. sexual misconduct, bullying, any other categorisation used internally.
3. How long each suspension lasted.
4. The number of these suspensions that resulted in dismissal
5. The amount of money paid to suspended officers in wages, bonuses or any other payment from the force while they were suspended.
The Professional Standards Department have provided the following information.
The table below contains the results of a search for all officers recorded as suspended on our PSD system between 01/01/2019 to 30/11/2024 and includes the description of the conduct that resulted in the suspension, the number of days suspended, whether it is a live case or if it resulted in a dismissal and the rank of the officer involved. To work out the amount each officer was paid including bonuses etc, we have included two links below for the requestor to work out the approximate minimum salary for each officer, one link for pay scales for Constable to Inspector and the other link for Superintendents.
