The Information Management Department have provided the following information.

2/ how many FOIs have you received in the past 12-months. 

For the date range: 15/05/23-14/05/24 there were 1307 requests received

3/ how many FOIs were withheld/refused in the past 12-months. 

1139 requester were closed in the same period of which 

• 43 were full refusals
• 59 were part disclosures
• 104 were over fees (S12) refusals
• 27 were neither confirm nor deny responses 

4/ how many FOIs that have been withheld/refused have been overturned by an internal review in the past 12-months. 

For the date range: 15/05/23-14/05/24 there were 10 internal reviews either upheld, or part upheld.

Of these, 3 were because of the requester not receiving a response within the statutory timeframes and therefore not in relation to the decision making of the FOI Team. 

5/ how many FOIs that have been withheld/refused have been overturned by the ico in the past 12-months. 

For the date range: 15/05/23-14/05/24 there were 5 ICO complaints either upheld, or part upheld.

All 5 were due to the requester not receiving a response within the statutory timeframes and therefore not in relation to the decision making of the FOI Team.
