The number of electric car charging vandalism incidents since 2019, listed by year and month, and if possible listed by public and private chargers. This includes theft, cable cuts, and intentional damage to the electric car charging points.
The Performance Analysis Department have provided the following information.
Searches were completed on Niche for all occurrences of ‘dwelling burglary’, ‘burglary other’, ‘theft’ and ‘criminal damage’ that contained one of the following keywords in the occurrence summary or occurrence entry log text: ‘electric car’, ‘car charger’, ‘electric vehicle’ or ‘vehicle charger’. Each occurrence was reviewed for relevance.
