Please could I have the costs to Dorset Police's resources for the murder investigation in Boscombe last summer?
The investigation, as I'm sure you are aware, was launched in the area of manor Steps Zig Zag off Boscombe Overcliff Drive, Bournemouth, on Auguust 26 2023.

Please could I have the costs broken down? (eg x was spent on expenses for staff, x was spent on officers from another county, x was spent on the forensics side).
The Finance Department has provided the following information.
The costs associated with this Operation amounted to £183k.

These are the additional costs for the operation.
We don’t attribute business as usual costs like overheads and normal pay costs of constables & sergeants involved in operations during normal working hours.
The Finance Department and South West Forensics confirm that there is no information available regarding forensics costs as none have been attributed specifically to this investigation.
Please could I also have the number of staff used for the operation, how many hours was spent on it and, if possible, the wages on that (including overtime)?
In terms of overtime, approximately 3,600 hours of overtime was worked and over 200 Dorset Police Officers claimed overtime during the course of this operation and were involved in various activities, including cordon, search and enquiries. We do not have the number of mutual aid staff deployed for this operation.
