The Central Ticket Office have provided the following information:

• The offence data relates to the number of Notices of Intended Prosecution (NIPs) issues following an automatic camera activation which result in the following outcomes: education, conditional offer of fixed penalty or court.
  • Education courses = £130 course fee
  • Fixed penalty = £100 fine + 3 penalty points
  • Court = sanction applied by the court
• The data therefore identifies the number of NIPs issued over the time span requested.
• These figures do not include cancelled offences or vehicles categorised as ‘emergency’ or ‘police’ vehicles.
