The Criminal Justice Department have provided the following information.
- How often is digital evidence used in case work?
Most cases now have at least one element of digital evidence included within it.
- How often do you use smart doorbell footage in case work?
No data is maintained in relation to the digital evidence that relates to smart doorbell footage and therefore we would be unable to provide this detail.
- How is this stored?
Once seized or collated the link would be added to the case file on the Records Management System (RMS) and then placed into the sharing drive ready to be shared with CPS when required.
- How useful is smart doorbell footage in casework?
Any CCTV which is clear and auditable will always prove useful in investigations.
