The Legal Services Department have provided the following information:
I am writing to request information under Freedom of Information, relating to the use, by your Force, of Sexual Risk Orders.
In particular, I would be grateful if you could please provide the following information relating to the time period, 1 January 2020 to 31 March 2023:
1. How many Sexual Risk Orders has your Force applied for?

2. How many of those applications have been successful?
3 x interim orders & 4 x full orders
3. What was the conduct / "act of a sexual nature" that triggered the application for the Sexual Risk Order?
Allegation of rape; controlling / coercive behaviour; assault; Possession of indecent images of children;
3. What conditions were imposed by the Sexual Risk Order, negative and positive?
- Must not co-habit or live with any female or stay overnight at the same address as any female (other than a member of his immediate family)
- Living in the same household or sleeping in any dwelling to include tent, caravan, boat, hotel room where there is also present any female aged under 18 unless with the express approval of the parent, guardian or person with parental responsibility, social services and the police for that area;
- Having any contact or communication with any female under the age of 18 other than (i) such is inadvertent and not reasonably avoidable in the course of living daily life, or (ii) with the consent of the child’s parent or guardian (who has knowledge of his convictions) and with the express approval of social services and the police for the area. Any such contact is to be supervised by the child’s parents or guardian and /or social services;
- Failing to disclose to Dorset Police any newly formed or developing relationship with any female;
- Using any computer or device capable of accessing the internet unless; (a) he has notified the police VISOR team within three days of the acquisition of any such device, (b) it has the capacity to retain and display the history of internet use, (c) he does not delete such history, (d) he makes the device immediately available on request for inspection by a police officer, or police staff employee, and he allows such person to install risk management monitoring software if they so choose;
- Possessing any device capable of storing digital images/files/communication data unless he makes it available on request for inspection by a police officer; failure to provide user account details and passwords to the device would constitute a breach of this Order;
- Using or activating any function of any software, which prevents a computer or device from retaining and/or displaying the history of internet use, for example using ‘incognito’ mode or private browsing;
- Using any ‘cloud’ or similar remote storage media capable of storing digital images (other than that which is intrinsic to the operation of the device) unless, within three days of the creation of such storage, he notifies the police of that activity, and provides access to such storage on request for inspection by a police officer or police staff employee. Failure to provide user account details and passwords to on-line storage accounts would constitute a breach of this Order;
- Purchasing, downloading or activating any evidence elimination or computer ‘cleaning’ software.
- Making contact whether direct or indirect or seeking to establish the whereabouts or contact details of victim whether by himself or any third party instructed to do so on his behalf;
- Living in the same household or sleeping in any dwelling to include tent, caravan, boat, hotel room where there is also present any female under 18 unless with the express approval of social services, the Parent, Guardian or person that holds parental responsibility for the child and the Police for that area;
- Having any contact or communication with any female under the age of 18 other than (i) such is inadvertent and not reasonably avoidable in the course of living daily life, or (ii) with the consent of the female’s parent, guardian or person that holds parental responsibility for the child (who has knowledge of any cautions, convictions or this order) and with the express approval of social services and the police for the area. Any such contact is to be supervised by the female’s parents or guardian and /or social services;
- Undertaking any voluntary or paid work without prior approval from his offender manager;
- Entering into any intimate relationship with any male or female without first notifying Dorset Police’s MOSOVO team of that person’s name and address within 48 hours of that relationship commencing;
- Following and/or approaching any lone female or groups of females;
- Remaining in contact with any female whom has made it clear that she does not wish to have contact;
- Inviting any female under the age of 18 years into his home save for those individuals agreed by his offender manager in advance of any invitation made;
- Accepting any invitation to enter and/or entering any female’s home address (who is under the age of 18 years old) unless agreed in advance by his offende rmanager;
- Purchasing, acquiring by any means or having in his possession any item, article of clothing or uniform or equipment that suggests that he is a taxi driver or private transportation service of any kind whatsoever;
- Failing to disclose to his offender manager the make, model, colour, and registration of any vehicle owned, rented, hired, and borrowed in advance of any intended journey;
- Carrying any female passenger/s under the age of 18 years in any vehicle in which he is operating without prior approval of his offender manager;
- Entering the area north of [named location] up to [named location] inclusive of the area between the [named location] and [named location]
- Intentionally following or approaching any lone female or lone group of females in a public or private place other than such is inadvertent and not reasonably avoidable in the course of living daily life.
- Remaining in contact with any female whom has made it clear that she does not wish to have contact.
- Failing to disclose to his police offender manager any newly formed or developing relationship with any male or female.
- Inviting any individual female or groups of females into his home save for those individuals agreed by his police offender manager in advance of any invitation made.
- Accepting any invitation to enter and then entering any female’s home address unless agreed in advance by his police offender manager.
- Seeking out the services, using the services and or making contact with any sex worker or escort.
- Being in the area of [named location] between 23:00 hours and 08:00 hours daily unless with prior consent of his police offender manager should he have legitimate need to do so for work medical or other appointments.
- Engaging in paid or unpaid work that would bring him into contact with vulnerable or underage females without prior authorisation of his police offender manager
