Can you tell me if the Dorset Police Safeguarding Referral Unit (SRU) and the Dorset Public Protection Unit (PPU) are one in the same or are they completely different units that cooperate with one another on an independent basis.
The Safeguarding Referral Unit (SRU) sits within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) which incorporates partner agencies.
The Dorset Police Public Protection Unit consists of a number of different departments including the MASH and SRU.
