Freedom of Information (FOI) Act request ref: 01/FIN/23/0965
Version Date: 31/08/2023
The Evidential property Stores have provided the following information.
Please find below figures with amounts of items on each Auction.
They will vary as some items fetch higher amounts depending of course what they are and their current demand.
I am writing to request specific information regarding the auction of seized and unclaimed goods by police forces across the United Kingdom over the past two years.
I am interested in obtaining comprehensive data on the items sold at auction, including the total number of items auctioned, the description of each item, and the amount raised from the sales.
Specifically, I would like to request the following information from each police force in the UK:
> The total number of items sold at auction in the past three years and total received as a result, broken down by year
> A list of items sold, when they were sold, and price paid by individual item
The Auction house used by many South Region Forces including ours is COTTEES in Poole
Their auctions (including past auctions with images of items) often combine items with regional proceeds of crime.
