Using AI to request information about the police

You can request information about us by using our online service. This is known as a freedom of information (FOI) request.

If you're using AI to make an FOI request, please be aware that using AI can cause issues such as:

  • making your answers long and repetitive
  • giving us information we don't need
  • making it harder for us to find the information we need 

If you wish to use AI for your request, please read this guidance on the Information Commissioner's Office website. This advice can help us to avoid delays caused by the use of AI.
