About the Local Reslience Forum

What is the LRF?
The Local Resilience Forum (LRF) is the principal mechanism for multi-agency cooperation under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. The Dorset LRF is based on the Dorset Constabulary boundary which is the same as the political County boundary.
The Dorset Civil Contingencies Unit
The Dorset CCU is a team dedicated to assisting the organisations of the Dorset LRF to meet their duties under the Civil Contingencies Act and to making Dorset a “Safer place to live and work”.
Structure and meetings
The current structure of the Dorset LRF is the product of a concerted effort to build on experiences hosting the sailing events of 2012 Olympic Games.
