Current PACT Priorities

You are telling us that the following issues are priorities in your area:

PRIORITY (Update June 2013)

Shed Burglary - Not uncommon for this time of year, with people treating themselves to new garden machinery and tools.  This type of crime can often be prevented, though, by the use of better locks and alarm systems.  Please look out in your local press for “Sheducation” events.

Community Speed Watch - This Scheme offers members of the public the opportunity to carry out high-visibility speed checks in their local areas (which have 30 or 40 m.p.h. speed limits) and provide to police details vehicles which are exceeding those speed limits.  The registered keepers of those vehicles will be sent warning letters by police, and repeat offenders could receive visits and further action by police.  Volunteers for the Scheme need to be vetted, but the equipment (including the radar speed gun) can be provided by police.

Any person interested in either of the above topics, please contact the SNT.
