You are saying... How can we reduce
burglary in Talbot Woods?
We are doing... Work to contact burglary
victims to offer reassurance and give crime prevention
advice. Where eligible, vulnerable and elderly victims
have benefited from the East Boro Handy Van Security
Service where additional locks and other security upgrades have
been installed. The Meyrick & Talbot SNT has also been conducting
high visibility patrols in the area. If you would like your
local officer to conduct a home security survey at your
address please call 101 to arrange a date and time.

You are saying... How can we reduce
vehicle crime in the area?
We are doing... Day-glo posters warning vehicle
owners about car crime. These have been placed in areas where
repeat thefts from vehicles have been occurring. Reassurance visits
have also been conducted by the Safer Neighbourhood team to victims
of theft from vehicle. The Safer Neighbourhood team has also been
giving crime prevention advice to identified vehicle owners
who have been leaving valuables on display.

You are saying... Cycle theft from
sheds has increased in the area
We are doing... Sheducation leaflet sent out to
residents who receive emails via the Community Messaging System
detailing crime prevention advice. Reassurance visits have also
been conducted to victims of cycle theft. Security
bike tagging has also been conducted at Bournemouth University
along with the University Safer Neighbourhood Team in an effort to
prevent cycle thefts. High visibility cycle patrols have also
been conducted in the area.
