Current Priorities

You are telling us that the following issues are a priority in your area:

PRIORITY

1To tackle Anti-Social behaviour (ASB) in the Pokesdown and Southbourne area.

Residents and business owners have been reporting an increase in youth ASB in the following general areas: Clarence Park Road, Spurgeon Road, Seabourne Road, Southbourne Road, Beaufort Road and New Park Road. This has been increasing over the past month.

The Police have identified a group of local youths who frequent the area. Patrols have increased and engagement has begun. This has also included enforcement and arrests in certain circumstances. The Police have worked closely with the council who are attempting to engage and divert some of the young people involved.

In the future the plan is to begin the process of obtaining Anti-Social Behaviour Orders against key individuals if improvements are not made in their behaviour.

2 - Protection of Vulnerable Victims in the Littledown, Iford, Boscombe East and Southbourne areas.

Police are committed to protecting victims and the SNT officers work will be focused on putting Victims First.

Officers will contact all victims of personal crime and anti-social behaviour in order to establish the nature of the problem, give reassurance and establish if an enhanced service is required. Officers will get to know the victims on their area and victims will likewise get to know their local officers. If required victims will be subject to a multi-agency service in order to assist them in the problems they are facing.
