Current Priorities
| PRIORITY |
|
1 - ASB in the area outside of
Macdonalds, Boscombe Precinct.
You are continually calling to raise issues re: unruly and
Anti-Social Behaviour in this area, both drug and alcohol related.
We will utilise all police powers including Section 30 and 27
Dispersal Powers and the use of Behavioural Contracts and
ASB's. Continued
static Police presence outside MacDonalds on Market Days, and high
visibility Operations in the form of Op Town, an intelligence led,
proactive operation focussed on Boscombe Precinct.

2 - ASB Area of Churchill
Gardens
Drug and alcohol related ASB , has long been an issue for
local residents, and we now consider this to be a SNT priority. We will increase
high visibility patrols and coverts operations in the area to deter
unruly groups from congregating.
Current Police powers like Section 27 Dispersals and Behavioural
Contracts, leading to ASBO's will be used on main
offenders. Properties linked to drug use will be targeted with
warrants and, if evidence exists, properties shut down under
crackhouse legislation. We will also look to continue and promote
our close working relationship with Youth services in the area,
including the setting up of a youth club.
|
|
3 - Protection of vulnerable victims
Police are committed to protecting victims and the
SNT officers
work will be focused on putting Victims First.
Officers will contact all victims of personal crime and
anti-social behaviour in order to establish the nature of the
problem, give reassurance and establish if an enhanced service is
required. Officers will get to know the victims on their area and
victims will likewise get to know their local officers. If required
victims will be subject to a multi-agency service in order to
assist them in the problems they are facing.
