Services for the Deaf, Hearing and Speech Impaired

Emergency only text service - 999

 

Triple coloured circlePeople who are deaf, hearing and/or speech impaired will be able to send messages to get help in an emergency

 

Please note the following important points about the emergency service number:

 

Triple coloured circleYou will need to register your mobile phone before using the emergencySMS service

Triple coloured circleThis service is only for people who cannot use voice phones

Triple coloured circleIt is not an extra service  for contacting the emergency services about other things

Triple coloured circlePlease use the 999 emergency contact number if you are able to

 

How to register for the 999 text service

Text the word ‘register’ to 999 or:

Non Emergency service for the deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired

Non Emergency : 07766 425243 to report less serious crime. (Please note this line is not available between 0300hrs - 0700hrs)
