Appeal after attempted burglary in Bournemouth

Officers in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following an attempted burglary at a supermarket in the Kinson area of the town.

The incident happened at around 12.45am on Wednesday 15 August 2012 at the Co-Operative store on Wimborne Road.

Police Constable Lee Harrison, of Bournemouth Police, said: "Two people have entered the store by smashing a pane of glass on one of the main entrance doors.

“They have then attempted to steal items from the kiosk area and place them in a large bag before making off in a black BMW being driven by a third person.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the theft, or saw any suspicious behaviour in the area around the time of the incident.”

No items were stolen.
