Detectives in Dorset investigating a report of indecent
exposure on a beach in Studland, have released a picture of a man
that they would like to speak with.
The incident happened at approximately 3.10pm on Sunday 12
August 2012, on Knoll Beach.
The offender was within an area on the beach
designated for families, where buoys in the water show where it is
safe to swim. He was lying on his back and was clearly visible to a
family nearby.
Detective Inspector Steven Thorpe, of
Bournemouth CID, said: “This is a
very serious incident which deeply shocked the members of the
family that witnessed it.
“The beach was fairly busy at the time so I am
keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious.
“In particular I would like to speak to the
man in the picture who I believe can help us with our
investigation.”
This man is described as white, aged between
40 and 50, five feet ten inches tall, of average build, with light
brown wavy short hair. He was wearing navy blue shorts.
DI Thorpe continued: “I urge anyone
who has any information to call Dorset Police urgently on 101 in
strict confidence.”

information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting
