Appeal after criminal damage to vehicles in Weymouth

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a large number of vehicles had their front windscreens smashed in Weymouth.

Sometime during the early hours of Wednesday 1 August 2012, unknown offenders smashed the windscreens of at least nine vehicles along Louviers Road in the Littlemoor area of the town.

Police Constable Jane Walker, of Weymouth police, said: “I would like to speak with anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in this area.

“This disruptive and dangerous behaviour will not be tolerated and I am appealing for anyone with any information to contact police urgently. Any calls will be dealt with in confidence.

“Local residents are clearly appalled by this vandalism – it has caused major inconvenience to many motorists as well as an unwanted expense at this time of year.”
