A Misuse of Drugs Act warrant has been executed in
Bridport, with a quantity of cannabis being found.
At approximately 8.30am on Thursday, 19 July 2012, officers in
Bridport executed the warrant at an address in North Street.
Officers found and seized a quantity of
cannabis at the address – the amount of which is not being
released.
As a result, two people, a 20-year-old man and
a 21-year-old woman both from Bridport were arrested on suspicion
of cultivating cannabis and have been released on police bail while
enquiries continue.

Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "This is part of the ongoing
initiative taken by officers to tackle and disrupt the supply of
controlled drugs in Bridport.
“This warrant was executed as a result of
information provided to us from the public.
“It demonstrates the value of information
gained from the community allowing us to take pro-active action in
stamping out the scourge of such drugs and associated criminality
within our town.
“We will continue to act on information
provided to us from the public. I would ask anyone with any
information to come forward and help us make your area safer.
