Witness appeal after man injured in Poole

Officers in Poole are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a man suffered injuries to his face outside a pub in the town.

A 50-year-old man from Poole suffered bruising to his face, and at present, Police are unable to ascertain how this has happened.

The incident occurred outside the Dorset Knob Pub on Alder Road sometime between 10.40pm on Sunday 24 June 2012 and 12.30am on Monday 25 June 2012.

Police Constable Siobhan Lovering, of Poole police, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen any sort of incident in which this man may have suffered his injuries.

“There is a bus stop opposite the pub where the incident happened, and it’s possible somebody may have seen something while they waited or when they got on a bus.

“Anyone with any knowledge should contact Dorset Police.”

The injured man is described as around five foot nine inches tall, of medium build with short brown greying hair.

He was wearing jeans, black trainers and a white England football shirt with ‘Lampard’ and a number eight on the back.
