Images released after armed robbery in Bournemouth

Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following an armed robbery in the Hengistbury Head area of Southbourne – with an e-fit and CCTV images of the offender being released.

CCTV images of a man police wish to speak with following an armed robbery in SouthbourneThe incident, in which a man entered a post office armed with a handgun and demanded money, happened at around 9.20am on Monday 18 June 2012.

Detective Constable Tristan Downie, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Following further enquiries, I am now able to release an e-fit and CCTV images of the man we believe is responsible for this robbery.

“It is believed that the man left the post office in a small green or turquoise vehicle toward the general direction of the Southbourne and Iford area.”

This man is described as a white, of slim build and scruffy appearance. He was wearing a green coloured jacket with the hood up and was carrying a bag.

E-fit image of a man police wish to speak with following an armed robbery in SouthbourneDC Downie continued: “I am appealing for witnesses or anyone with information regarding the identity of the man in the e-fit and CCTV images, and anyone who may have seen the vehicle leaving at speed from the area, to please contact Dorset Police on 101.”
