Disability Harassment Inquiry

Feedback - We want your views logoThe Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is conducting a formal Inquiry into Disability-Related Harassment. As part of this Inquiry the Commission has asked members of the public and groups representing disabled people to tell them about their experiences. In addition, they are asking public bodies and public transport providers what steps they are taking to meet their legal obligations to prevent disabled people being harassed. Dorset Police has responded to the Inquiry by providing an overview of current Force activity and our aspirations for the future.

Dorset Police is committed to playing our part in preventing and eliminating disability-related harassment. Our people-focussed approach puts the individual at the heart of everything we do. The Force accepts the need to continually improve if we are to achieve the best possible outcomes for disabled people. We welcome the potential opportunity the Inquiry presents for identifying learning and national best practice.
