Details of all thefts from your force
in the past three years (2008, 2009 and 2010). For each incident
please give me the date of the theft, the item that was stolen, the
value of the item, where it was stolen from, whether it was
recovered and whether anybody was convicted for the theft.
Clarification: I
asked for details of all thefts from your force in the past three
years (2008, 2009 and 2010) and by this I meant "police property
that was stolen or reported missing from police
buildings/vehicles". I also asked for the date of the theft, but I
would be happy purely to know the year of the theft, i.e. 2008,
2009 or 2010. When I asked whether anybody was convicted for the
theft, please can this be changed to whether the offender was
caught, as I appreciate there may not have been a conviction, as
he/she may have been cautioned, reprimanded etc.

Within the Home Office Counting rules there are guidelines on
when a recorded crime can be resolved as a 'no crime'. In the case
of rape they are:
1. The crime was committed outside the
jurisdiction of the police force in which it was recorded.
2. Where following the report of an incident
which has subsequently been recorded as a crime, additional
verifiable information is available which determines that no
notifiable crime has been committed.
3. If the crime, as alleged, constitutes part
of a crime already recorded.
4. If the reported incident was recorded
as a crime in error.
Under the terms of the Freedom of Information
Act please provide me with the following statistics for your force
area for the calendar year of 2010.
1. How many rapes were recorded.
2. Of that number , how many were 'no
crimed'
