A breakdown of the costs for 2010
and 2011 into:
- services provided by NRPSI-registered interpreters or non
NRPSI-registered interpreters (on the assumption that use of the
latter group was permitted under PACE when NRPSI interpreters were
not available at short notice and operational necessity required
interpreters to be sourced locally);
- the difference in hourly/job rates Dorset Police paid to
NRPSI-registered interpreters compared with non NRSPI-registered
interpreters;
- the number of instances of interpreting that were invoiced as
the minimum call-out fee (I think this is about £99), and how many
instances lasted more than the minimum call-out length.
Are there any specific interpreting figures (costs/numbers of
instances) for the Heather Barnett (Danilo Restivo) case? If
complete figures are not available until this financial year has
been calculated, I would like to request them as soon as the
figures become available.
Are there recorded instances of Dorset Police officers/staff
providing ad hoc interpreting services (e.g. in custodial
situations) in the last 2 years? If so, what languages?
