Safer Neighbourhoods

Safer Neighbourhoods is a commitment by community service
providers to improving the quality of life in our communities by
working together to target the issues identified by local people as
those that matter most.
Safer Neighbourhoods is about providing our communities
with:
ACCESS to local policing teams and their
community safety partners – local councils, health, housing, fire
and rescue, youth organisations and probation - through a named
point of contact.
INFLUENCE for local people over how community
safety services are delivered in their area and what the local
priorities are.
INTERVENTIONS by community safety partners and
the community working together to tackle those priorities.
ANSWERS - sustainable solutions to problems and
feedback on what has been done.
What is PACT?
PACT
stands for Partners and Communities Together. It is the name given
to and the process used when engaging with local communities.
Wherever you see the PACT logo, you can be
assured that community service providers are working in
partnership, rather than any single organisation.
Through PACT, your local
community service providers will identify the issues that matter to
you, decide on three issues to be prioritised and work together to
tackle those issues.
