Current PACT Priorities

You are telling us that the following issues are priorities in your area:

PRIORITY (Updated January 2014)

Focusing on the ‘Fatal 4’ – concerns have been raised by local residents regarding the manner of driving of some road users particularly in relation to excess speed in Bure Lane. We will focus our efforts towards reducing the number of people exceeding the speed limit, not wearing seatbelts, drink and drug driving and using a mobile phone whilst driving.

The ‘no excuse’ campaign is an ongoing successful campaign throughout Dorset. Just four months into the campaign, nearly 7000 traffic related offences were detected. Most people drive safely but we still need to instil in people that there are still ‘no excuses’ and that people committing these offences will be dealt with robustly. Mudeford and Highcliffe SNT will continue to target the Fatal 4 throughout your area to ensure that our roads are safer.

Useful Messages / Information

Updated January 2014 - The SNT  recently received a number of calls from concerned residents, regarding recent ‘early evening' door to door, cold callers/collectors. These were in fact legitimate callers or collection agents, carrying this out on behalf of the Royal British Legion – this was verified, and a suitable Ringmaster Message was circulated across Christchurch, to confirm this and alleviate any unnecessary worrying on behalf of the residents of our SNT. Please follow this link to find out how you can register to receive our Community (Ringmaster) Messages >
