Officers in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses and
anyone with information to come forward after a woman was assaulted
in the town centre.
The incident happened at around 4.50am on Sunday 3 February 2013
outside the HSBC bank on St. Mary Street.
A 24-year-old local woman was headbutted in
the face following a verbal altercation with two unknown women.
The victim suffered an injury to her nose.
Police Constable Simon Anderson, of Weymouth
police, said: “This attack has left the victim with a nasty facial
injury.
It’s believed the woman that committed the
assault got into a taxi and fled the scene immediately after the
incident.
“I am urging anyone who saw this assault take
place or has information about those involved to contact police as
soon as possible in confidence.”
No arrests have been made.
