Officers in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and
anyone with information to come forward following an attempted
robbery at a video rental shop in Boscombe.
The incident happened at around 4.55pm on Sunday 16 December
2012 at Flicks on Christchurch Road.
The offender entered the store and demanded
money from the till, before threatening a member of staff.
Fortunately he was scared off by a customer
arriving at the premises and left empty handed.
Police Constable Rob Elliott, of Bournemouth
police, said: “The offender is described as a white man, around six
feet in height, aged between 20 and 25 and well built.
“At the time of the offence he was wearing a
dark peaked cap with a blue scarf pulled over his face up to his
eyes.
“He was wearing dark clothing.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have
witnessed a man matching this description acting suspiciously prior
to this incident, or saw the attempted robbery take place.
“Any help or information is appreciated in
order to help bring this offender to justice.”
