Burglary in Poole - appeal for witnesses

Officers in Poole are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a burglary in the Branksome area of the town.

The incident happened at a property on Davis Road, between 7.30pm and 11.30pm on Wednesday 13 June 2012.

Thieves gained entry to a shed in the garden and stole a Numark CD mixing deck which is worth over £250.

Police Constable Sian Coombs of Poole police said: “The offenders also tried to gain entry to the house, but were unsuccessful.

“They used a spade found in the shed to try and force entry and threw paving slabs found in the garden, at the patio doors.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious.”

Dorset Police would like to remind all home owners to secure sheds and outhouses to prevent criminals from using tools to gain entry into their properties.

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 14:68. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
