Welcome to Christchurch Section.

Christchurch Section covers the
whole Borough of Christchurch which includes Highcliffe which has
its own small police station, and also the parishes of Burton and
Hurn. The section also takes responsibility for Bournemouth
International Airport and Christchurch Harbour, which is covered by
the section’s Marine Unit.
The Borough has a population of
approximately 45,000 which swells in the summer due to the influx
of tourists who stay at local campsites and hotels, and visit the
town’s beaches and the nearby New Forest.
There is a strong relationship
between Christchurch Section and Christchurch Borough Council who
work as a partnership to improve the lot of local residents. The
Christchurch Community Safety Action Group (CSAG), which I chair, has
recently been instrumental in establishing a multi-agency youth
outreach project – MAYO – engaging with young
people in the borough, giving valuable advice on services
available, including drugs and sexual health.
We also work closely with the
council's Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs) to issue fixed penalty
notices for issues such as littering and dog fouling. Find out about Civil Enforcement Officers

recorded crimes in 2010/11, 2,009 recorded crimes in 2011/12 and
1,801 recorded crimes in 2012/13. This is an overall reduction in
recorded crime of around 15% in Christchurch and represents
