Dorset Gay Men’s Health

is a statutory service providing health advice, support and information to the LGB&T community. They are at OTR during its opening times and other venues throughout the county. Their services include sexual and general health information; health promotion; free condoms & lube; teaching/training and sexuality advice and support.

A Professional gay friendly service offering confidential counselling is available by appointment.

SPACE Youth Project

meets between 5pm – 8pm every Friday at OTR and provides a safe place for anyone up to 25 years old to get to know each other and feel good about being themselves as LGB&T.

is a registered charity run by volunteers who offer confidential advice, support and information to anyone who contacts them.

Body Positive

is a registered charity run by volunteers based at Diana, Princess of Wales House, 24 Lorne Park Road, Bournemouth BH1 1JL. They offer a safe and friendly environment for anyone affected by HIV or Aids, which can include the person’s family and partner too. The centre is open Monday – Thursday 1pm to 7pm and Friday 10am to 4pm. Barbara Heffernan is the Development Director.

The Intercom Trust

They also have a LGB&T Helpline number 08456 020 818 which is open during office hours Monday to Friday.

The helpline will take calls about rural isolation, neighbour harassment and police issues, homophobic school bullying, family and/or relationship problems, equality and discrimination issues as well as providing information about local community groups and the scene.

The Dorset Lesbian & Gay Helpline, Body Positive & Metropolitan Community Church whilst not based at OTR maintain a close working relationship with LAGLO.
