An elderly Poole woman has died after she was taken to
hospital following a fire in her home – the cause of the fire is
not being treated as suspicious.
Shortly before 9am on Monday, 2 November 2009, police were
called by Dorset Fire & Rescue Service to a house on Coventry
Crescent in the Creekmoor area of Poole where there had been a
fire.
The elderly occupant – an 86-year-old woman –
was rescued from her home by fire fighters and tended to by
ambulance paramedics before being taken to Poole Hospital where
sadly she died.
Next of kin and the coroner have been advised
and we await a post mortem to determine the cause of death.
