Welcome to Specialist Operations.
This section of Dorset Police is
comprised of a number of specialist departments and functions
including Traffic Policing, Dog Patrol, Firearms
Response, Air Operations and the Marine Section.
Specialist Operations serves communities
across the whole of Dorset.
All of our teams within the section are
committed to achieving the Force vision of a ‘Dorset that is and
feels safe’ and we will help deliver this by achieving our primary
aim of being ‘the best Specialist Operations section in the
country’.
We strive to deliver an excellent,
people-focused service that supports and works together with Safer
Neighbourhood Teams and the wider Force in order to make Dorset
feel safer for all the people living in, and visiting, the
county.
