| We have... looked into this issue. Since
the previous meeting in April there have not
been any reports to police of excessive noise. Police
patrols have focussed on the area at the pertinent times. The
Licensing Department from North Dorset District Council are
also looking into reports of loud music from the King’s Arms
in possible breach of their licence. |

The ‘no excuses’ campaign has been running in Dorset
targeting drivers for offences such as using a mobile phone and
speeding. A number of fixed penalty tickets have been
issued in the area. The campaign continues until the end
of the year. There has been comments that the Senior
Magistrates did not believe the penalties were high enough and were
pushing for six points to be awarded to offenders, as opposed
to three in conjunction with a steeper fine. |
| You said... there are speeding drivers in
Whitecliff Mill Street |
| We have... looked into this issue. Although
numerous stop checks have been carried out by both local officers
and traffic officers no one has been caught travelling above the
speed limit during the relevant times. |
